What should you do if an accident damages your rental car?
It is never something you want to happen. Accidents can happen, but it is not something you want to experience.
These four steps can be taken immediately after an accident

2 Dial 911
Before you travel, make sure you have all the emergency numbers for each country. Each country may have a different emergency number. Wikipedia has a list. Travelers can move much more easily within the European Union. For help reaching the nearest emergency ambulance, fire station or police station, dial 112 from any mobile or fixed phone. It is completely free.
3. Keep track of information and collect data.
Once everyone is safe, and emergency services have arrived, you can give details and your name to anyone who was hurt in the collision. You don't need to worry about hitting an object or another vehicle during the collision. If you hit a parked vehicle, your details may be placed under the windshield wipers. You must make sure that all vehicles and persons are present. Notify anyone who is damaged and take photos.
- Each vehicle should be identified by its make, model, colour and/or make.
- Date & Time of the Accident
- Descriptions of road lighting and conditions.
- Property or vehicle damage
- Car accidents involving pedestrians, drivers and passengers.
Get to know the agency that rents your space.
Contact the leasing agent to discuss your concerns (the number is listed in the rental agreement). They will provide assurance and repairs. If there's no agreement with the rental company, you won't receive a refund for any amount paid. If you pay directly to the rental company, your money will not be refunded.
How much insurance is required for renting a car?
The standard package usually includes Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection. Also, Third-Party Liability Protection is available. This waiver is not insurance. The waiver is not an assurance that the company won't make you pay.
Collision Damage Waiver
The Collision Damage Waiver covers any damage to your vehicle's bodywork. The Collision Damage Waiver does not cover any damage to the vehicle's bodywork. A certain amount will be required. The excess is the amount you have to pay. This excess can be anywhere from PS500 to EUR600. This is usually taken from your deposit when you pick up your vehicle.
Security Against Theft
Your theft insurance will pay for the replacement of your vehicle in case it is stolen or lost. The automobile can be purchased with your theft insurance.
Third Party Haftung
This policy covers property damage that is caused by others, such as smashing into other vehicles or ripping off fences. There are many options for insurance. You can purchase it at the desk when you rent your vehicle, or at the counter once you have started the rental.
